Please donate to memorialize Joel Byrne's foundation to continue to let his goodness shine.
The Let Goodness Shine (LGS) Fund is dedicated to strengthening the values of faith, charity, courage, and dedication. These are the virtues that Joel Byrne believed in and, more importantly, lived in
Joel is my 15-year-old grandson high died inexplicably in his sleep. Family, friends, classmates, teachers and neighbors all mourned his loss, not just because of a young life tragically cut short too soon, but because of his extraordinary goodness.
You can read about his life and his determination to see the divine in everyone at the Let Goodness Shine website.
Also, Avanan, a Checkpoint company that Joel’s father, Don, works for is graciously sponsoring a “What Would Joel Do” week to recognize Joel’s determination to leave no one behind and work for the good of his community. Said the company:
As we are a global team, a plan was formed to celebrate the life of Joel in which anyone can participate, no matter where they lived. “What Would Joel Do?” was created to give anyone who desires the opportunity to volunteer in their community or for a national/international organization, just like Joel did during his amazing 15 years. The week of June 19th-23rd was selected as June 21st is the longest day of light in the year. Joel was full of light and it just seemed fitting.
Joel’s life has meaning for the more than 1,000 people who filled the church for his funeral mass and for many others. It certainly has for me; let it be also for you.
Thank you.
