Whether the United States should strike Iran directly because of its support for the multiple and deadly attacks on Americans is an issue, perhaps the most important one, being considered by the Biden administration.
But now, the New York Times says, without attribution, that the U.S. won’t strike Iran:
But the president made the decision to strike largely at facilities and command centers, [outside of Iran] without aiming to decapitate their leadership or threatening Iran’s regime directly.
There was no serious consideration of striking inside Iran, one senior administration official said after the first round of strikes were complete. And the telegraphing of the punch gave Iranians and their proxies time to evacuate senior commanders and other personnel from their bases, and disperse them in safe houses.
This seems to be an exclusive story that no one else had. As of this writing, I can’t find it anywhere else. But, you had to read 12 paragraphs into the story to find this highly newsworthy information. In the news business, it’s called “burying the lead.” Why the Times would so profoundly blow this story is beyond me. But I can’t account for what of the Times does.
Not striking Iran directly might or might not be the best policy if you are trying to avoid an escalation, as the Biden administration has repeatedly emphasized. But to announcing this is just like telling Iranians, “Hey, guys, go about your business as usual. Nothing to worry about here.”
In effect, Iran can continue to supply their outposts. The U.S. can blast them to kingdom come, but it won’t stop Iran from conducting its one-side war against America.
In an earlier post, I wondered if the Biden administration and Iran were conducting back-channel negotiations. The Times supplies an answer, again with attribution that American officials say there were no back-channel discussions with Tehran. For some reason, I’m not assured.

Well, it's obvious that O'Biden is following in the path of Obama. Barrack, the anointed one, flew in pallets of cash to Iran. O'Biden released six billion dollars back into the hands of the Iranian terrorists. Now O'Biden tolerates continued attacks on our troops, he tolerates the killing of our troops by destroying valueless targets, and we warn them of our incoming missiles. He places our troops in harms way and refuses to let them even defend themselves. He does this in order to demoralize our troops. I said that correctly. You see O'Biden is a treasonist. He aids and abets our enemies by allowing their advance. He watched Russia mount an assault on Ukraines border for months without doing anything. He allows illegal immigrants to flood into our country and depletes our treasury by giving them food, clothing, shelter cell phones and a credit card with $5,000 on it. He allows Iran and it's proxies to attack our bases and our people while doing NOTHING. I'm sure that the next step for O'Biden will be our withdrawl from the middle east. Kind of reminds ya of Afghanistan.
