Leslie Stahl went easy on Marjorie Taylor Greene?
The left saw the 60 Minutes interview as too soft.
No kidding. The reliably biased Stahl gave Green a pass? Here’s just one of the many critical tweets. Notice the reasoned response to Greene’s conservative views.
That’s just a small sample. Here’s Tom Jones, the reliably one-sided (left) senior media writer for Poynter:
After linking to appropriate tsk-tsking surfacing from the left, Jones concludes: “In the end, Greene absolutely should be profiled by “60 Minutes,” but not in the way “60 Minutes” did it.”
Wait a darn minute. This is Leslie Stahl you’re talking about. The tough interviewer. The hard-nosed inquisitor of right-wing wing nuts. The tip of the liberal spear on “60 Minutes” who can be counted on to jab the conservative idiots.
Not this time. She visibly rolled her eyes at a Greene response that she apparently loathed. One wonders why the producer didn’t edit out the eye-roll. Objective journalists aren’t supposed to display their biases like that. Stahl might just as well have said, “You’re kidding me! What are you? Some kind of whack job?”
During the entire show, it would have been hard to miss Stahl’s disapproving expressions. The tone of her questions sounded something like, “Let’s move on to the next thing I can’t believe you're saying.”
The left’s personal attacks on Stahl just demonstrates how blind the left is to their own foggy thinking.
Undoubtedly, Stahl will use the left-wing criticism as “evidence” that she a real reporter, willing to take on even her fans. That might be the funniest part of this.
