The U.S. judge who appeared on cable television and criticized former President Donald Trump has been hit with an ethics complaint.
U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton’s comments were “clearly inappropriate, defamatory, highly prejudicial, and outrageous,” the complaint, lodged on April 2, states.
Judge Walton, who was appointed by President George W. Bush, went on CNN after President Trump criticized a New York judge and that judge’s daughter in the wake of that judge issuing a gag order against him.
Today's post encourages readers to subscribe to the hard right wingnut publication, the Epoch Times, since they don't produce "fake news". You then highlight a judicial complaint as if it is significant. (anyone can file a judicial complaint) What you fail to inform your readers is that the complaint was filed by The Article III Project, a hard right not for profit that supports Donald Trump. The complaint, which reads like a Trump campaign press release, alleges a judge must not comment on the merits of a pending case. Of course, Judge Walton didn't comment on the merits of any case but did highlight that incendiary comments pointed at the judiciary potentially puts people's life in danger. Mr. Byrne you really need to try harder on some of these blog posts.
