Good Lord, we don't need no boring president, like DeSantis!
We need standards that'll weed out all the dull candidates
Out of nowhere came the ultimate, final reason that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis should never be elected president:
He’s boring. He’s colorless. Unexciting, numbing, bland, dry, humdrum and, worst, jejune. He’ll put everyone to sleep. Monotonous. Dry as dust.
Which is most puzzling. Especially for Democrats who for years now have plastered Donald Trump for being just the opposite. Loudmouthed. Crude. Rude. Uncouth. Hateful. Offensive. Nasty. Smug. A Philistine.
As if that’s not enough. I give you President Joe Biden. “Sleepy Joe” according to loathsome Trump. Asleep at the switch. Squinting at the teleprompter. Ready for a nap. All of which can be expected when someone else—we don’t know whom—is running the government. Biden on the beach was a perfect metaphor for someone who has checked out. Like he did in an interview.
I was more than puzzled by the popular description by the media and Democrats as languid etc. I don’t find him so. Saw him in person a few months ago. He gave an eloquent description of his beliefs and platform. He did it all extemporaneously. No one dozed. He delivered it with clarity and passion.
I guessed that this slander was committed because DeSantis is big on the issues. He was re-elected governor by a huge majority in a swing state. Floridans saw DeSantis in action, saving them from the kind of mindless and destructive decrees that disempowered millions in blue states—especially Illinois, New York and California.
The more he presents himself, unencumbered by the hostile press, the more he should be recognized as a competent public servant. It might be too late, though, for that to happen.
Here is a question for you to consider. If Donald Trump were to say, "I surrender." No more, leave me alone, I give up.
What would the democrats campaign look like?
Crickets. The ONLY thing that they have IS Donald Trump. Take that away and they have nothing. The dems are picking our candidate for us.
