Don't think an election can be stolen? Check out Venezuela.
What say you now, Chicago Teachers Union officers who visited this sad country and called it good.
Apparently this is one “root cause” that Border Czar Kamala Harris overlooked.
The stolen election could increase illegal crossings of America’s southern border by Venezuelans fleeing the autocratic socialist government of Nicolás Maduro.
(Facebook has removed this post, See below why.)
There’s no challenging the fact that Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro stole that county’s election. Opposition leaders said their candidate crushed Maduro, winning more than 70 percent of the vote, despite his laughable claim that he won.
Perhaps there’s a lesson in this for America. Democrats/liberals/progressives have insisted that election fraud hasn’t happened in America. Nope, they insist, election fraud didn’t keep Donald Trump from winning a second term as president in 2020. Certainly whatever fraud that occurred in America wasn’t as visible as Maduro’s. But can we put to rest the absurd argument that American elections are free of fraud?
The Federalist reported exclusively that a complaint has been filed with Georgia election officials that “tens of thousands of potentially illegal votes were cast in the 2022 midterm election.”
This revelation comes after the Georgia secretary of state ignored a similar complaint highlighting evidence indicating that nearly 35,000 potentially illegal votes may have been included in the final tally certifying Joe Biden as the state winner by 11,779 votes. And now, with just four months until the November 2024 general election, the state’s refusal to address the problem ensures chaos will ensue unless there is a complete blowout by one of the candidates.
Will this get a fair hearing, or will the left and its acolytes in the media ridicule the idea?
In Venezuela, crowds have flooded the streets, protesting the stolen election. Among the protestors are the poor and displaced who once were the chief supporters of Maduro and socialism. It’s not the utopia that officers of the Chicago Teachers Union claimed. The oil rich country once was prosperous, peaceful and stable before the socialist experiment began 25 years ago.
Now the country is in near-total collapse, far from the bright scenes sketched by a group calling itself a Chicago Teachers Union delegation that visited there in 2019.
CTU executive board member Sarah Chambers, one of the four, said, “
Through major economic hardships, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro never closed a single public school or a single health clinic. This stands in stark contrast to our experience in Chicago, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel closed 50 public schools and several mental health clinics in a single year.”
And this: “We didn’t see a single homeless person.”
Some CTU members at the time criticized the group, but they kept electing these far-left leaders.
Reported the Chicago Tribune:
Union leadership had approved a resolution several months ago criticizing U.S. sanctions and intervention in Venezuela, including the efforts of President Donald Trump’s administration to delegitimize Maduro and elevate an interim president, Juan Guaidó, during mass citizen resistance to Maduro’s controversial reelection last year.
Unlike Biden, Trump has been a true advocate of democracy.
Some 7 million Venezuelans who have fled the repressive regime wouldn’t quite agree with the CTU. More than 300,000 illegally migrated to America last year. About 800,00 since 2021 when Biden took office.
Biden put Harris in charge of immigration policies (no, no, Democrats now claim, she was never an “immigration czar.”) As if whatever her title was mattered. She was sent to central America to discover the “root causes” of illegal immigration and retuned loaded down with the usual cliches about poverty, etc. She warned people “not to come,” but somehow that failed to deter the more than the 8-million, 10-million or how many to cross into America illegally.
The Harris-Biden administration now claims that it has stemmed the flow, ignoring the millions already here that it allowed in in the first place. And now more will be heading our way if Maduro manages to stay in power. (If he doesn’t, it’ll be interesting to see how many of the hundred of thousands Venezuelans return there.)
This might prove to be inconvenient for Harris. She carried water for decades for the hard-left progressives, like the CTU members, who have a taste for governance in that direction. No doubt, they’ll try to talk the talk about how the “voice of the people in a democracy must be heard.”
Not that it matters. The march for liberty in Venezuela will proceed in spite of the ultra-left’s platitudes.
